Edna Kathryn "Kathy" Douglas, 83, of Omaha passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023 at Wabash Christian Village in Carmi. She was born January 9, 1940 in Eldorado, IL the daughter of Thomas and Mae (Cletcher) Grant. Kathy married Edward E. Douglas in Eldorado on February 1, 1958. She had attended Mt. Oval Presbyterian Church before joining the United Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Norris City.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Edward of Omaha; two daughters, Stacy (Dale) Mallard of Washington, Utah and Melanie (Blake) Krueger of Jasper, IN; four grandchildren, Erin (Jon) Sommerville, Kyle Mallard, Cal (Sarah) Krueger and Kara Krueger; great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Joseph and Ezra Sommerville; siblings, Sylvia (Don) Beasley of Wood River, IL, Rosie Tucker of Wood River, IL. and John (Judy) Grant of Broken Arrow, OK; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and four siblings, Flo Headrick. Chloe Denny, Helen Shelton, and Dale Grant.
Funeral services for Kathy Douglas, 83, of Omaha will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Burial will follow in Mt. Oval Cemetery near Norris City. Friends and family may visit on Friday, September 1, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kathy's memory to the United Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Norris City and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements.
