As a mother of four, grandmother of twelve and great grandmother of three Kathy was the heart and soul of the Jackson family. Her home was a natural gathering place for all who loved her and were loved by her. True to her matriarch position Kathy was always ready to fill your soul with words of wisdom and fill your body with delicious food. Kathy was Spartanburg famous for her homemade Red Velvet cake. During holiday gatherings it was advised to get there early before the Red Velvet got gone.
Left to cherish fond and loving memories are her four children: Jimmy (Carol) Jackson, Christopher (Rashell) Jackson, Nikki (Kareem Sr.) Johnson, Franklin (Tameka) Lyles. Kathy is also survived by her two siblings: John Gossett and Brenda Lyles. Kathy also leaves behind twelve grandchildren, three great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. We, the family of Kathy Lee Jackson, will forever cherish each and every memory we have of her in our hearts.
The family will receive friends at 112 Fisher Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, Inc., 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
