Kathy Justin, born on December 1, 1950 and passed on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at the age of 74.
The funeral Mass will be held at St. Emeric Catholic Church (1860 W 22nd St, Cleveland, near the West side market) at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 1. There will be some refreshments served in the hall after the Mass. After the reception those who wish to come to the cemetery will be welcome to join the family at Holy Cross Cemetery at 2:00p.m. Please meet at the front gate. There will be the traditional prayers said at the grave site.
The family requests in lieu of the flowers, donations to the church or donations for yearly remembrance Masses at the person's local church would be greatly appreciated.
Kathy is predeceased by her mother, Helena and her father Jan Justin, also her uncle, Rev. Ladislaus Rosko. She is survived by her daughter, Monica K. Justin, her elder brother Frank, and her two younger brothers, Michael and Steven, her cousin, Father Richard Bona, and other aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Kathy was born in the small town of Ipel'ské Ul'any in Slovakia. She studied at the business school in Bratislava and worked in bookkeeping. She came to the U.S. to care for her uncle and his mother.
Kathy loved to garden, she would be outside day and night starting early spring, her green thumb cultivated beautiful flowers. She did not really enjoy cooking as much as gardening, but everyone praised her for her delicious food. She volunteered at her
uncle's church St. Margaret of Hungary. She helped those in need without hesitation. She set a strong example for her daughter. She was and still is loved by many because of her sense of humor and good heart, she will be greatly missed.
