Kathy Lee Nowack (Schneider)

Kathy, 76, of Hudson, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Holy Family Hospice in Parma, OH. She was born in Cleveland, OH on July 25, 1949 to the late William and Dorothy Schneider.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Kenneth B. Nowack.

She is survived by her loving children: daughter, Kathryn Nowack; son, Jeremy (Shauna) Nowack. Additionally, her brother, Daniel (Kathy) Schneider, Cheryl Nowack (sister-in-law), and Keith Nowack (brother-in-law).

Kathy was a proud graduate of Garfield Heights High School and then went on to earn an Associate's degree in Nursing at Cuyahoga Community College, also studying at Kent State University and St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in Cleveland, OH. Upon graduating, Kathy worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Luke's Hospital, University of Colorado Hospital, Merida Hillcrest Hospital, Matria Home Health, and Summa Hospital as a Labor and Delivery Nurse, helping deliver thousands of babies. Kathy maintained close contact with her high school and nursing school friends throughout the years, often attending monthly lunches and get-togethers.

Kathy loved her many visits to The Outer Banks (OBX), Cape Cod, Georgia Tech, Rensselaer (RPI), attending shows at the Cleveland Playhouse and Carousel Theatre in Akron. She enjoyed watching Disney movies, especially Winnie-the-Pooh. She was an enthusiastic fan of the Cleveland Indians/Guardians, Cleveland Browns, Gonzaga Bulldogs Basketball, Georgia Tech Football and of course, The Ohio State Buckeyes. She also treasured her trips to Chicago, IL, to visit her son and daughter-in-law, where she would attend shows, visit museums, take architecture tours, enjoy restaurants, or simply spend time with them while cooking some of their favorite meals before returning home to be with Ken and her daughter, Kate. The most important aspect of Kathy's life was her family, especially her children and the many dogs and cats she had throughout the years.

Kathy will be deeply missed and loved forever by her family, friends, and those who knew her.

In honoring her wishes, Kathy will be cremated, and a private service and inurnment will be held for the family before being laid to rest with her husband (Ken) at St. Mary Cemetery in Hudson, OH, at a later date.
