Kathy Brockway Price

A Memorial Service for Kathy Price will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie with Bro Michael Hukins officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at the Vandenburg Cemetery in Bayou Chicot. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Ms. Price, age 67 of Bunkie, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2025 at the Bayou Vista Community Care Center.

Kathy worked many years for Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries, helping mentally challenged adults find jobs. She found her work very rewarding. In her spare time she enjoyed playing her guitar and singing. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was always there to lend a helping hand and listening ear. She was an avid animal lover. She enjoyed fishing. She loved attending church and worshipping her Lord. She made friends wherever she went, a social butterfly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Brockway and Beverly Charrier Dupre.

Survivors include her children; Lynn Phillips and husband Eddie of Central, LA and Aaron John Lambert of Moreauville; her sisters, Wendy Normand and husband Earl of Cottonport and Janet Dupre and husband Kerry of St. Landry; her grandchildren, Madeline Williams (Joseph), Joshua Treme', Cullen Lunday and Nickolas Lunday and 4 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Bayou Vista Community Care Center Staff for their kindness and care over the last 8 years. Also would like to thank Compassionate Care Hospice and their staff over the last few months.

Friends may visit on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
