Robinson Powdersville Funeral Home and Robinson Memorial Gardens - EasleyKathy Fowler Watson, 73, loving wife of Jack H. Watson passed away Monday, September 15, 2025, at MUSC in Charleston, SC. She had a profound impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Born in Brevard, NC to the late Clarence S. Fowler and Zadell Cox Fowler, her heritage was founded by family and deep mountain roots.
As a graduate of Easley High School, Class of 1970, Kathy knew the value of education and later received her Associate Degree in Medical Practice Management from Greenville Tech. Treasured relationships both old and new, two of which were “The 70’s Cool Crew” and “The 1970 EHS Ladies Lunch Bunch” were among the countless lifelong friends from which she drew immense joy!
Following 28 years of service to the Greenville Health System/Prisma, she retired as Practice Coordinator for Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Neurosurgery. Well known for her kindness and professionalism, her diligence and guidance made her workplace warm and positive for those she served.
Gifted with an angelic voice, Kathy’s vocal talents were a regular feature of choir, praise team and special music. Her Love of God and United Wesleyan Church were evident in her tireless enthusiasm and talents.
There was no greater fan of Holiday decorations, especially Christmas during which the family enjoyed yet another magical transition of home into a literal wonderland. Without question, “Nana’s” biggest joy came from her Grandbabies, sparing no effort or expense to have them know how unconditionally loved and cherished they were.
Kathy was predeceased in death by a daughter Leah Brooke Watson. She is survived by her sons Patrick Andrew “Drew” Watson, Richard “Richey” Ashley Watson (Antonina, “Tonia”), her daughter Heather W. Snipes (Tim), granddaughters Katie, Natalie and Maya Watson and grandson Liam Snipes. Also, her sister Sylvia Patterson (Ross), brother James “Carroll” Fowler (Collette) and an extra special sister-in- love Rebecca S. Watson.
Kathy recently celebrated her 54th anniversary of love and devotion to her high school sweetheart and remained the source of his joy.
A reception of friends will be held at Robinson Funeral Home, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC, on Friday, September 26, from 4:30PM until 6:30 PM. A Celebration of Life will take place at United Wesleyan Church, 738 Rice Rd., Easley, SC, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
