Virginia Lee Spoon, 91, of Easley, South Carolina, wife of the late Harry Wilfred Spoon, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026.
Born on December 30, 1934, in Anderson County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Lula Mae Ragsdale. Virginia was a loving and independent mother who raised four children after the passing of her husband, Harry Wilfred Spoon, in 1979. Virginia was known to be the best mother in the world. She created many cherished memories with her family, especially enjoying her time spent doing yard work around her house and relaxing on her porch with her daughter, Janice. Virginia had a love for traveling, where she found joy and excitement.
She is survived by her four sons, David Michael Spoon (Connie), Tony Spoon (Shannon), Ronnie Spoon (Angie), and Donnie Spoon; her daughter, Janice Browning; three granddaughters, Dana Segars, Stacy Spoon, and Brittany Gast (John); two great-grandchildren, Tristan and Jayden; and four great-great-grandchildren, Jacob, Mathew, Dirk, and Kelsey.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her great-grandson, Johnny Ray Cline.
The family will host a private service at a later date.
