Kathy West Obituary
Wellman- Kathy West was born August 21, 1954 in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of James and Virginia (Miller) Ehrenfelt. She graduated from Mid-Prairie High School in 1972. Kathy was united in marriage to Alan West, and they later divorced. Kathy worked at Oral B for 27 years and the University of Iowa for 20 years. She was known to her family and friends as Chatty Kathy, she loved to talk. Kathy also enjoyed her dog, taking trips, day drives, movies, going out for dinner and spending time with her grandchildren. Kathy passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023 at the age of 69.
Kathy is survived by her mother Virginia, three children; Heath (Angela) West of Wellman, Charlene Jones of Wellman and Jasmine (Jon) Harvey of Tiffin. 7 grandchildren: Harlee and Oaklee West, Aidan West, Myles and Charlie Jones, Meagan and Jared Harvey and a brother Larry Ehrenfelt. She was preceded in death by her father James.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Powell Funeral Home Wellman from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Burial will be at a later date. A general memorial fund has been established. Messages may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com. Powell Funeral Home Wellman is caring for Kathy and her Family.
