Katie Amis Obituary
Katie was born on December 25, 1933 in Isola, Mississippi to William and Helen Grantham and passed away Friday, August 5, 2022 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Murray Dexter Amis and son, Robert A. Amis. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Keith M. Amis, Sr.; daughter, Helen L. Meza; grandsons, Keith M. Amis, Jr., Michael R. Atkins, Ascencion R. Meza and Sterling Giddens and wife, Mattie; granddaughters, Taylor L. Amis and Erika Meza; great-grandsons, Hendrix Clotiaux, Dorian Amis and Michael Ray Giddens and great-granddaughters, Sydney Amis, Freyja Amis, Rozalyn Amis, Trinity Amis and Harley Clotiuax.
Honoring Katie as pallbearers will be Keith M. Amis, Sr., Keith M. Amis, Jr., Sterling R. Giddens and Michael R. Atkins.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Dr. Rajan Khanna and the staff at Christus Highland Hospital, Christus Hospice and Garden Park Nursing Home.
