Katie Galaviz Obituary
After graduating high school in Naperville, IL, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Education at Illinois State University. She loved small children and went on to teach pre-k and kindergarten. She married Timothy Galaviz and together they had a son, Henry Galaviz. She dedicated her life to being an amazing teacher and mother.
Katie was a kind, caring, and joyful person. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by both parents, her husband, and her son.
Family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 South Broadway, Montgomery, IL.
The funeral service will take place on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 10:00am at Dieterle Memorial Home. Burial will immediately follow at Fairmount Willow Hills Memorial Park, 9100 Archer Avenue, Willow Springs, IL.
A celebration of life/memorial is planned to be held at a date to be determined.
