Katie Dixon Jones

Katie Dixon Jones, 74, of Thomasville, Georgia, passed away at Archbold Living on October 12, 2025. Born on October 4, 1951, in Thomasville, GA, to Simeon "Sim" P. and Mildred M. Dixon. Katie was a spirited and determined person who gave everything to take care of her children.

Katie worked in the manufacturing industry for many years then returned to school completing the cosmetology program at South Georgia Technical College. After a few years working as a hair stylist, she entered the retail workforce before her health forced her to retire. Her favorite job was at the local animal shelter. She loved animals so her job wasn't work for her, it was fun. She had many pets over the years and loved them all.

Katie is survived by her sons, Terry Jones (Alice), of Thomasville, GA, Russell Jones, of Thomasville, GA; her brothers, Charlie T. "Tommy" Dixon (Faye), of Ochlocknee, GA, Larry G. Dixon (Gail), of Boston, GA, Simeon "Simbo" P. Dixon Jr. (Lynne), of Thomasville, GA, Richard "Ricky" L. Dixon (Marcelle), of Pelham, GA, Mark T. Dixon (Jackie), of Thomasville, GA; her sister Mary Frances Morris, of Thomasville, GA; her grandkids Chandler Jones and Hanna Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Remembered for her kind heart, willingness to help others, and taking care of her family. Katie made a lasting impact on everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and colleagues.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 5-7 pm at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
