Katie Anna Killian

Katie Anna Killian of Fairgrove, age 28, passed on Sunday, August 11, 2024 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Katie was born on October 13, 1995 in Flint, the daughter of Karyn (Martin) Killian and the late David Killian. She grew up in Fairgrove and attended Akron-Fairgrove High School. She worked for several years as a home health aide, most recently for Cornerstone Staffing Solutions. Known for her bold and fearless demeanor, Katie was never one to shy away from expressing her thoughts. Her capacity to love was profound and fierce. She cherished relationships with friends she loved like family and was always ready to dress up for a night out of dancing with them. Her greatest joy came from her "little peach," Eli. Katie leaves a legacy of joy, love, and authenticity that will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.
Left to cherish Katie's memory are her son, Eli; mother, Karyn Killian of Millington; five siblings and their spouses, Josh Martin of Unionville, Jordan & Veronica Martin of Sebewaing, Ciara & Mark McNett of Vassar, Jonathon & Shelby Killian of Akron, Abigail Nitz of Mt. Morris; paternal grandparents, Denny & Debbie Killian of Clio; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her father, Katie was preceded in death by one brother, David Killian, Jr.; and maternal grandparents, Gary & Opal Martin.
In keeping with Katie's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service to honor her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 19, 2024 at the Caro Church of the Nazarene with Rev.
