Katlyn Fields Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cumberland Valley Funeral Home on Oct. 24, 2024.
It is with great sadness that the family of Katlyn Cheyenne "Katie Bug" Fields announce her passing. She was the eldest of twin girls, born on May 3, 2000. She departed this life on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was a happy girl, always smiling and laughing. Katlyn enjoyed listening to music, especially Ozzy Osbourne, watching her favorite television show, "Bob's Burgers" and spending time with her family. She graduated from Harlan County High School in 2018. Katlyn had a strong will to live and beat the odds that were set against her years ago.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Johnny and Kathy Terry, maternal grandfather, David "Shorty" Fields.
Left to cherish her loving memory is her parents, Karrie and Brian Johnson, grandmother, Norma Gail Fields, her twin sister, Lindsay Fields, sisters, Cassidy Fields, Kelebra Hooker, Jada Hooker, brothers, John David Johnson, Hunter Johnson, Zachary (Sammi) Sturgill, Dalton (Elizabeth) Sturgill, Aiden Feltner, aunts, Joni (Waylon) Simpson, Jeri Lynn Widner, Adina (Glen) Caldwell, Jenny Johnson, Georgeanna Johnson, uncles, Scotty (Gerri) Fields, Dave (Lark) Fields, Stephen Golden, Christopher Smith, Jimmy Brown, her precious fur babies, Little Girl, Ike, Merl, PeeWee, a host of cousins, and other relatives.
A special thank you to Paula and Dawayne Sturgill, who provided the most attentive care and love towards Katlyn. Thank you both for always being there.
"Katie Bug", was like a gentle breeze, she graced our lives with her presence, her essence was like the warmth of the sun, her smile could light up the darkest night.
To say the hearts of her family are broken is an understatement. "Katie Bug", was a true angel from Heaven and now she gained her Angel Wings.
Since Halloween was "Katie Bugs" favorite holiday, the family has requested we transform the funeral home to celebrate, and costumes are encouraged.
Family and Friends will gather at Cumberland Valley Funeral Home on Friday, October 25, 2024, at the Cumberland Valley Funeral Home at 4 p.m.
Celebration of Life service will follow at 5 p.m. with Brother Freddie Terry officiating.
Cumberland Valley Funeral Home is Honored to Serve the Family of Katlyn Fields.
