Kauri Nikolaj-Nikau Allala

Kauri Nikolaj-Nikau Allala (born Robert Zachary Allala), 26, of Houston, TX, tragically passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Kauri was born on June 20th, 1997 to Alejandro Allala Sr. and Nora Elia Tamayo Allala in Houston, TX.
Kauri graduated with an Associate of Arts and Science in Sign Language Interpretation and Translation from Houston Community College. He was an avid learner of languages such as Spanish, German, Japanese, French, Italian, and many others. He had a fond love for Hayao Miyazaki films in hopes that he would one day be able to travel to Japan. In his spare time, he wrote music.
Kauri was a person living with high-functioning autism and suffered from anxiety and depression. To help him cope with his mental health he grew an attachment to his loyal, companion, and loving dog, Lady.
Kauri (cow-ry) is a Maori name derived from a type of tree native to New Zealand's North Island that grows in the warm, northern part of the country - Auckland, the Coromandel Peninsula, and Northland. It is one of the largest and longest-living trees in the world. Kauri can live for 1,000 years or more; its trunk can be over 2 meters in diameter.
Kauri was predeceased by George Domingo Allala (Grandfather), Raquel Allala (Grandmother), Roberto Tamayo Sr.(Grandfather), Saul Eduardo Mclaingarcia (brother-in-law), Albert Raymond Allala (Uncle), and Domingo Allala (Uncle). He is survived by Alejandro Allala Sr. and Nora Elia Tamayo Allala (parents); siblings, Alejandro Valdez (Raul Gomez), Nora Patricia Allala Calero (Aldofo Antonio Calero), Alejandro Allala Jr. (Melinda Elizabeth Davila), Melissa Carolina Allala (Nichole Jessica Duran); Brandon Saul Mclain (Nephew); Brianna Alexa Mclain (Niece); and several other surviving family members.
He was a kind soul who left the world too soon. #JusticeforKauri

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024, 11:00 am - 3:00 pm at Felix H. Morales Funeral Home, Houston, Texas.
