Kay Eileen Bonesteel passed away at the age of 72 years old on August 16, 2025 in Seymour Indiana surrounded by her family and friends. Kay was born in Paris Crossing on November 17, 1952. to Clarence Manning and Avis Manning.
Her siblings are Clarence Manning Jr., Joyce Hamilton and Vickie Gould. Kay is the mother to three children the oldest being Gary Bonesteel Jr. married to Amy Bonesteel, the middle child is Shannon Danford married to Kevin Danford and the youngest is Steve Bonesteel married to Angie Bonesteel. She is also the grandmother to Nathaneal, Logan and Blake Bonesteel and Scott DeZarn Jr. and Ashley DeZarn.
Kay loved spending time with her family and friends and she enjoyed the serene life of living in the country. She had a huge heart for any animal especially her three little dogs. Some of her hobbies include playing Bingo, video games, listening to Elvis Presley’s music, running errands with her sister Joyce and watching horror movies. Kay also enjoyed collecting beautiful glass trinkets.
Kay worked at Muscatatuck State School for 20 years and also worked at Seymour Walmart for another 5 years before retiring.
Kay chose to be cremated and requested her family have a memorial dinner in the fall, it was her favorite time of the year.
