January 18, 1950-May 28, 2025

North Pole, Alaska

Kay Browning was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

She was loved her sons Michael & Philip and daughter Alicia. Kay took great pride and joy in her grandchildren: Chance, Ana, Samantha, Jaxon, Jillian, and her great grandson Samuel. They brought light and laughter into her life. Each of whom had a special place in her heart.

A Baptist by faith, Kay lived with quiet dignity and strength. She was known for her calm presence, thoughtful nature, and unwavering love for her family.

She took immense pleasure in the beauty she cultivated both inside and outside her home. The door was always open-friends, neighbors, and especially her children's friends knew her house as the one to gather at. She created a space where everyone felt welcome, safe, loved, and cared for.

She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

When you were loved by Kay you sure knew it! Being awakened at an obscenely early hour to go to garage sales, after dinner card games, SO MUCH FOOD - including the very best potato salad ever in the world. Being one of her extra "kids" was a BLAST. I still- and always will- think of Kay whenever I see any of that ribbon wearing geese decor.

When I was a teenager Phillip & Alicia's house was the place to hangout. All of us were given chores to do if we were going to be at the house. Kay was always cooking and feeding us. My favorites were her jambalaya and her chicken & dumplings soup. She actually taught me how to make both. I still make them to this day and they are a staple in my house my family loves them. She was a good 2nd Mom to me. She will be missed.
