Kay M. Gorfi, "Kay-T-Bug" born on May 10, 1942, in Alliance, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her hometown on January 26, 2026, at the age of 83. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness.
Kay was the proud mother of three daughters: Pamela Knorpp, Susan Gorfi (Mark), and Mary (Ben) Stickler. Her legacy of love continues through her six cherished grandchildren: Corey Stickler, Kayleigh (Thomas) Robison, Shawn (Jessica) Stickler, Steven Dugan, Alaina (Fiancé Christian Durtschi) Dugan, and Owen (Kelsey) Dugan. Additionally, she was blessed with four great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Tanjiro, Lucas, and Silas, who brought immense joy to her life. Kay is also survived by her two sisters, Nancy Tobey and Jan Evans, with whom she shared countless memories throughout her life. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary (Johnson) Everson, as well as her former husband, Frank W. Gorfi.
Kay's pride and joy were rooted deeply in her family, which she considered her greatest accomplishment. She led a life filled with interests and hobbies that reflected her vibrant spirit. She enjoyed solving puzzles, losing herself in books, and collecting pictures and figurines of owls, deer, butterflies, bears, and ladybugs. She found pleasure in watching her favorite TV shows, playing bingo, and listening to music that resonated with her soul.
