Kay Hamilton

Kay Leege Hamilton, age 72, passed away on September 19, 2025. The Funeral Service is 1 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2025 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Visitation is Friday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m.

Barbara Kay Fisher Leege Hamilton was born in Columbia MO to Roberta Jean Wise Fisher and Charles K. Fisher. Kay had a servant's heart, a love for others which she expressed through volunteering, and a deep love for her family. Nursing was her career calling. She acquired her LPN from Columbia College, her BSN from Bellmont, and her NP from UAB. She worked as a Nurse Practitioner until her retirement from the Nashville VA. Kay enjoyed reading, making flower arrangements, and perfecting the world's best dill dip. Family was her first priority and she was so pleased her grands and great-grands called her the best "Nannie" and "Nannie Nan" ever. Her speech was as eloquent as it was elegant, meaning she was very effective at getting her point across and everyone felt good about it. Kay attended Providence Church for more than five years before becoming a member.

Kay is survived by her daughters Missi (Steve) Myers and Crystal (Justin) Hayes, grandchildren Alison (Brandon), Aimee (Ethan), Emma Grace, and Lawson, great-grandchildren Lathan, Max, Leeland, Carmen, and Fisher Lynn, brother Ken (Pat) Fisher, and niece and nephews Stacy, Chris, and Greg. She is preceded in death by her husband LeRoy Leege and parents Roberta and Ken Fisher.
