Heath Funeral Home - ParagouldIt is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kay Kyle Luter, born on October 3, 1943, in Memphis, Tennessee. Kay, a beloved figure in the lives of many, departed this world on October 19, 2025. She resided in Paragould, Arkansas, where she touched the hearts of her family, friends, and students alike.
A dedicated educator, Kay earned her Master's Degree and spent years inspiring young minds as a teacher at Tyronza Elementary. Notably, she served as the Gifted and Talented Coordinator for Northeast Arkansas, a role through which she nurtured the unique abilities of countless children. Her commitment to education and her passion for fostering creativity will be remembered by all those whose lives she impacted.
Kay was a voracious reader, relishing every opportunity to immerse herself in the pages of a book. She also found great joy in working on her yard and home, where her nurturing spirit thrived. Travel was another of Kay's passions; she cherished the memories made on her family trips to Europe and Mexico, adventures that enriched her life and those of her loved ones.
A devoted member of the First United Methodist Church in Paragould, Kay's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She cherished her community and the relationships she built within it.
Kay is survived by her three children, Nancy (Ken) Becker, Chuck Luter (John Clay Leonard), and Chip (Allison) Luter; her grandchildren, Liza Luter, Ella Luter, and Katherine Luter. Each of these individuals carries forward her legacy of love, compassion, and wisdom. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs, Sam and Harley; and cherished cats, Phan, Chloe, Natty, Apollo, Trixie and Smoke.
Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Luter; father, Lamar Kyle; mother, Edith Kyle; and brother, Jack Kyle.
As we honor Kay's remarkable life, we invite family and friends to attend the funeral services that will be held at First United Methodist Church on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 11 A.M. Rev. Dane Womack will officiate the ceremony, celebrating the life of a woman who brought joy to so many. The family will receive friends until the time of the service beginning at 9:30 A.M.
In this time of mourning, let us reflect on the profound impact Kay had on all of us. Her spirit will live on in the memories we cherish and the love we share. May she rest in peace.
