Mark Phillip Myles, a beloved son, brother, father, and friend, departed this world on Sunday, February 15, 2026, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Mark was born on July 29, 1976, in Paragould.
Mark graduated from Ridgecrest High School in 1995, setting the foundation for a life marked by dedication and skill. He became an accomplished electrician, traveling and subcontracting for Walmart, where he was known for his expertise and work ethic. His contributions to the industry were significant, and he earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike. He could fix anything from a leaky faucet to building a deck. He moved around a lot with his job and met many friends along the way.
A man of diverse passions, Mark distinguished himself not only by his professional achievements but also by his personal interests. He had a remarkable affinity for tattoos, constantly seeking the next piece to add to his body art. His love for children was evident as he found joy in entertaining them, sharing laughter and smiles generously. Mark also harbored a deep enthusiasm for sports, notably enjoying soccer in his youth. A tremendous fan of Captain America, Mark found joy in his superhero endeavors.
He was known for his love of life's thrills, having experienced the rush of skydiving, and he brought that spirit of adventure into all that he did. An avid fan of loud music, every vehicle he owned was outfitted with booming speakers, resonating with his vibrant personality. He stood proudly as a friend to many, creating bonds that enriched the lives of those around him. He was loyal to a fault and would give the shirt off his back. He loved hard and he hurt hard. He would stop anything he was doing to help someone in need.
Mark never shied away from his faith, wholeheartedly giving his life to the Lord at a young age at Cedar Glades Camp, which guided him throughout his journey. Even though he experienced a lot of loss in his life, he always found his way back to God.
Mark is survived by his beloved sisters, Hannah Hoyer and Kristi (Terry) Henry; father, Greg Marlar; nephews, J.B. (Grace Gay) Hoyer, Thomas Henry, and T.J. Henry; nieces, Baily Hoyer, Aaliyah Marlar, and Lucy Henry; his four-legged side kick and best friend, Chance; and several aunts, uncles, and special friends, who will carry forward the cherished memories of their time together. Preceding him in death are his mother, Marilyn Marlar; father, Phillip Myles; brother, Joshua Myles; daughter, Lisa Steele; brother-in-law, Bradley Hoyer; and great nephew, Cameron Sylvia II.
Mark's life will be celebrated on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM at Heath Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 1:00 PM, with a heartfelt tribute to Mark's journey and legacy. He will be laid to rest at Brown's Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dale Williams, Daniel Steele, Gaylan Trammell, Gavyn Trammell, Jarrett Ray, Oscar Montoya, and Jeff Hooks.
As we gather to honor Mark's remarkable life, we are reminded of his vibrant spirit and the beautiful laughter he brought into our lives. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his memory will forever remain in our hearts.
