Kay L. Probst, 85 of Jefferson, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Jefferson Memory Care.

She was born on August 13, 1940, to Marvin and Helen Newton. She attended high school in both Jefferson and West Bend, graduating from West Bend High School in 1968. She married John Probst and the couple farmed together for many years until his death in 1998. Kay had a great appreciation for nature and was a talented gardener and plant lover. In the evenings, Kay could be found concentrating on the many crime tv shows she enjoyed. She had a passion for the arts and was a big fan of such groups as Fleetwood Mac, the Muppets. She will be remembered for her sassy personality and the love and support she gave to her husband, son, and granddaughter.

Kay is survived by: her son Michael Probst of Jefferson; granddaughter Ariella Clark; sister Janine (Jon) Urban of Wisconsin Rapid; and other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

As per Kay's wishes, she will be laid to rest at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Jefferson.
