Kayden was born on March 31, 2008, in Smyrna, Tennessee, to Justin Kyle Patterson and Cassidy Nicole Briley Slover. A sophomore at Culleoka Unit School, he had a love for board games, video games, and anime. He found happiness in the outdoors, often riding his dirt bike and mountain bike. Kayden had a deep appreciation for cars and took great pride in his work at Chick-fil-A. Above all, Kayden was a bright and kindhearted young man who cherished playing and spending time with his siblings.
Kayden is deeply missed by his father, Justin Kyle (Danielle) Patterson, and mother, Cassidy Nicole Briley (Alex Franks) Slover; his brother, Oliver Patterson; and his sister, Belle Franks. He is also survived by his grandparents, Gary (Veronica) Patterson, Malinda Patterson, Frances Briley, and Wayne Slover, along with many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Cecil Franks.
Those proudly serving as pallbearers will be Alex Franks, Charlie Slover, Chalan Patterson, Zach St. Clair, La’El Banks, and Daniel Souviron. Honorary pallbearers will be his coworkers at Chick-fil-A and the teachers, staff, and students at Culleoka Unit School.
Though Kayden’s time here was far too short, the love he shared and the joy he brought to those around him will live on forever.
