Kaylee Shea Melvin, 18, of Lafayette, formerly of Brownsburg, and Danville, passed away in a four-wheeler accident on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.
She was born on February 26, 2007, to Julia Christine Melvin and Joshua Joseph Lockard. Kaylee graduated high school in December 2024. She was a server, host, trainer, and to-go specialist at Olive Garden.
She loved to try new things and was always ready for adventure. Kaylee enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, go-carting, horseback riding, shopping, playing Mario Cart, and going to the beach. She always had a natural talent for anything that involved music; dancing, singing and playing her flute.
Kaylee was such a beautiful soul; when she walked into a room she made the room brighter. She was confident, funny, animated, friendly, strong, independent, sassy, emotionally intelligent, smart, and had a big heart. She was loved by so many, that God must have needed another angel in Heaven.
Along with her parents, Julia C. Melvin and Joshua J. Lockard, she is survived by her siblings, Elias Martinko and Dominique Lockard; Grandparents Janice and Andy Melvin and Sue and Kevin Heath; and Aunts and Uncles Aaron Melvin, Jessica and Dave Freiberger, Kassy Lockard.
Memorial contributions in Kaylee's name may be given to https://gofund.me/c87ac097.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Soller-Baker. Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd, Lafayette, IN 47909.
