Kaylee Frances Taylor, age 26, unexpectedly passed from this life on September 8, 2025, in Houston, Texas.
A memorial service to honor her life will be on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel, 4100 South Georgia. Rev. Jeff Messer will officiate.
Kaylee attended Tascosa High School before moving to Brownwood, where she graduated as Valedictorian from Lone Star West High School. Though naturally reserved, she had a funny sense of humor and a smile that brightened any room.
Her greatest joy in life was being a mother. Kaylee's love for her daughter, Kalani, knew no bounds. Kalani was the heart of her world, and Kaylee dedicated herself fully to nurturing and supporting her. Kaylee's role as a mother defined her, and she took immense pride in watching Kalani grow.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Bob Newton; her grandmother, Rita Hayhurst; her great-grandparents, Mary Frances and Grady Weir and Cleora Newton; her sister, Sheridan Taylor; her great aunt, Cindy Weir Neal; and her uncle, R.P. Newton III.
She is survived by her daughter, Kalani Johnson; her mother, Amy Newton (Trampas Crook); her grandmother, Carolyn Newton; her grandfather, Kenny Hayhurst; her aunts and uncles, Jennifer Newton, Brenda and Paul Jefferson, David Weir and John Weir; special cousins, Ellery Bailey and Prescott Newton; and many more loving extended family members and friends.
