SALEM - Mr. Kazimierz "Kazik" Laskowski, 82, of
Salem, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on October 26th, 2025.
He was born on February 15th, 1943, in Lubotyn Stary, Poland, to the late Witold and Elzbieta (Mrowiec) Laskowski.
Kazik was a proud patriot and active participant in the Solidarity movement in Poland. Due to the political climate of the time, he emigrated to the United States in May of 1985 and made Massachusetts his home. He worked diligently for many years at the same company until his retirement.
In his earlier years, he served honorably in the Polish military, where he attained the rank of sergeant. A quiet and thoughtful man, Kazik enjoyed reading, playing the guitar, and caring for animals-especially cats.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Anna; his daughter, Jadwiga; his son, Piotr, and Piotr's wife, Joanna; and two cherished granddaughters. He is also survived by his stepson, Konrad Roszko, and his wife, Monika, as well as three step-grandchildren. Additional survivors include his brother, Marek, and sister-in-law, Ela, of Chicago, and his sister, Teresa Hull, of Haverhill, Massachusetts.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Square, (At Salem Common) SALEM, on Thursday, November 6th from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Relatives and friends invited. Graveside Funeral Service will be held at Walnut Grove Cemetery, 30 Sylvan St., Danvers, Friday, November 7th at 11 A.M. SALEM - Kazimierz "Kazik" Laskowski, lat 82, z Salem w stanie Massachusetts, zmarl spokojnie 26 pazdziernika 2025 roku. Urodzil sie 15 lutego 1943 roku w Lubotyniu Starym w Polsce, jako syn sp. Witolda i Elzbiety (z domu Mrowiec) Laskowskich.
Kazik byl dumnym patriota i aktywnym uczestnikiem ruchu „Solidarnosc" w Polsce. Z powodu ówczesnej sytuacji politycznej byl zmuszony opuscic ojczyzne i w maju 1985 roku wyemigrowal do Stanów Zjednoczonych, gdzie osiedlil sie w Massachusetts. Przez wiele lat z oddaniem pracowal w jednej firmie az do przejscia na emeryture.
We wczesniejszych latach zycia sluzyl z honorem w Wojsku Polskim, gdzie uzyskal stopien sierzanta. Byl czlowiekiem cichym i refleksyjnym, który czerpal radosc z prostych rzeczy - czytania ksiazek, gry na gitarze oraz opieki nad zwierzetami, szczególnie kotami.
Pozostawil w zalobie ukochana zone Anne; córke Jadwige; syna Piotra z zona Joanna oraz dwie ukochane wnuczki. Wspominac go beda równiez pasierb Konrad Roszko z zona Monika oraz troje pasierbów. Kazik pozostawia takze brata Marka z zona Ela z Chicago oraz siostre Terese Hull z Haverhill, Massachusetts.
