Keegan Nathaniel Vowels, age 22, of Concord, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on November 28, 2025. He was born on January 9, 2003, in Jackson, Michigan, to Shawn Vowels and Melanie Kirkland.
Keegan is survived by his longtime girlfriend Kenzie Britton; daughter Ilya Vowels; mother Melanie Kirkland; devoted aunt Angie (Jeff) Scarborough; siblings Kyler (Alyssa) Vowels and Kailub Vowels; grandfathers Timothy (Kelly Williams) Kirkland and Roger Vowels; grandmother Jodi Kirkland; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in passing by his father Shawn Vowels; grandmother Barbara Lowe.
Keegan was a dedicated and caring father who deeply cherished his daughter, Ilya. He enjoyed spending quality time with her and valued their moments together. In his leisure time, he liked playing basketball and listening to music. He was a friendly and sociable person who enjoyed visiting family and friends, always making an effort to stay connected with others. Keegan appreciated his life and consistently strived to live it to the fullest.
A celebration of life to honor him will be held at the Hampton Funeral Home (4204 Ann Arbor Rd., Jackson) on Thursday, December 4, 2025, beginning at 6 P.M. with Pastor Mike Prince officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, December 4, from 4 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
