Sandy Dorer Obituary
Sandy was married twice in her life and had three children with her first husband John Densmore; Donna (William Lux) Densmore, Shawn (Kimberly) Densmore, and Laurie (Kenneth) Burton; grandchildren, Avery, Sara (Timothy Sexton), Christopher, Kenny (Sydney), Shelby and Troy, Kenlee (David Raica). She is also survived by her dear sisters, Wanda (Justin) Mears and Sue Sommer and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Leona Sommer and her brother Stanley (Jean) Sommer and her nephew Mark Sommer.
Sandy worked 25 years at ATL (then ANR) before retiring and working to build a parts business and later run a racetrack with her second husband Joe Dorer. She loved to travel and was always game for an adventure and her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ was the center in her life. She will be missed dearly by all who loved her and were blessed to know her.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Sandy's name to Henry Ford Hospice, 100 E. Michigan Ave., Ste. 400, Jackson, MI 49201.
To honor Sandy's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a visitation will be held at Grace Church, 2692 N Dettman Rd, Jackson, MI 49201 from 10:30am until the time of the service beginning at 11:00am on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, with Pastor James Walling officiating.
