Keith Russell Barney (April 10, 1991 – March 23, 2025)
Keith Russell Barney passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at home, surrounded by close family. His joy-filled life began on April 10, 1991.
Keith spent his childhood running wild in the streets of Paragonah, Utah, where everyone got to know his playful and energetic personality. In 2004, he was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Shortly after graduating from Parowan High School, he chose to serve a mission for the church in Rapid City, South Dakota, where he found great joy in serving others.
Upon returning home, Keith married his best friend Kimberly Green in the Manti Utah Temple in January 2013. Their family was blessed with the arrival of their daughter, Stephanie, on January 11, 2023, who became the greatest source of joy in Keith's life. He was always happiest when he was with these girls.
Keith possessed exceptional mechanical skills, a talent he honed at WyoTech. He used these skills to provide for his family, always eager to lend a hand with any repair.
Keith's infectious humor and boundless energy drew people to him. He had a remarkable ability to make friends and leave a lasting positive impression. His passions included camping, reading fantasy novels, everything Pokémon, playing Nintendo, watching Star Wars, and playing Dungeons and Dragons. And, of course, no adventure with Keith was complete without a Mountain Dew. He shared all of these hobbies with friends and family.
He was known for his selfless nature and unwavering generosity. Keith consistently prioritized the needs of others, offering a skilled hand or mentorship to those who were struggling. He had a unique ability to see the best in each individual, treating everyone he loved as family.
Keith is survived by his beloved wife, Kim; his adored daughter, Stephanie; his brothers, Kent and Chance; his sister, Britany; his mother, Tammy; and his father, Gavin.
Keith's service is open to those who'd like to join:
120 W Greens Lake Dr, Cedar City, UT on April 12th. The formal service will be at 10 a.m., followed by a celebration of life from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
