Keith Bartley

Michael Keith Bartley, 65, of Prosperity, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Lexington Medical Center. 

Born on April 27, 1959, in Newberry, he was a son of Doris Rodgers Bartley and the late Frank E. Bartley. Keith was retired  April 30, 2024 after 34 years with Kraft-Heinz (formerly Louis Rich). He was a member of Cross Point Church and a former member of the Stoney Hill Hunt Club. 

Keith was a simple man who loved his family especially his grandchildren, “Bop’s boys.” His favorite hobbies were gardening, fishing and just being outdoors and listening to music. Keith was a jack of all trades; if anything was broken he could certainly fix it. He was a very hardworking man who took great pride in a job well done. 

He is survived in addition to his mother, Doris Rodgers Bartley of Newberry; his wife, Deidra “Dee Dee” Bartley; a daughter, Ashton (Jody) Davis of Newberry; a son, Austin Bartley of Greensboro, NC; a brother, Jeff (Pam) Bartley of Prosperity; and Bop’s boys, Jordyn Davis and Joyner Davis. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jeff O’Dell. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30 am – 10:30 am at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Robert Bartley, T. Bartley, Mack Bartley, Bart Merchant, Jeff Mills and Eddie Neelands.

 Honorary pallbearers will be Lane Kennedy, J.T. Altman, Seth Chick, Bennie Bartley, Darron Thomas, Wayne Riddle and Dodd Thomas.
