March 28th, 2025 at the age of 69Keith Edward Doty, of Mason, MI, formerly of Eaton Rapids, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the age of 69.
Born May 19, 1955, in Coldwater, MI, Keith was the beloved son of Wayne and Rita (Bussing) Doty. He grew up in Coldwater and graduated with the Class of 1973. In his early twenties, he moved to the Jackson area, then Eaton Rapids.
Subsequently he co-founded Lansing Glass Company in 1994 with his dear friend Curt Robb, and successfully ran the business for many years until his retirement in 2016.
Keith was a true outdoorsman with a deep love for nature. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley-Davidson, and making countless trips to Sturgis over the years. He was also a passionate sports fan who never missed a chance to cheer on his favorite teams, especially the Detroit Lions.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Renee (Watson) Doty; daughters, Jessica (Jonathan) Banasiak, Veronica (Mike) Buholtz, and Erika (Elizabeth) Doty; grandchildren, Emersyn and Eddison Doty; brothers, Paul Doty and Dean (Darcy) Doty; sister, Jerry Younger; along with numerous extended family members and close friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Skinner Funeral Home, Eaton Rapids Chapel, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fraternal Order of Eagles 1111 N. Cedar Rd. Mason MI, 48854, or Wildside Rehabilitation & Education Center 8601 Houston Rd. Eaton Rapids, MI 48827

My husband Mark has worked at Lansing Glass for over 20 years, and we are both so saddened to hear of Keith´s passing. Something that I´ll always remember about Keith...was his laugh. He had a hardy laugh, that just made you smile. Our sincere condolences to his entire family.
