Keith Dyer Obituary
He was born July 10, 1936, in Iron Mountain, son of the late H. Malcolm and Eunice (VanBroklin) Dyer. Keith attended Iron Mountain High School and graduated with the class of 1954. He started out with Kresges in Iron Mountain as their floor manager and, after a few years, went to work for Kmart in Iron Mountain, serving as the assistant manager. Keith retired after 37 years. He was a longtime former member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Iron Mountain. Keith had a beautiful voice and sang in the church choir for years.
He was a very social person and enjoyed having coffee and visiting. Keith enjoyed lawn work both for himself and others, cooking, cutting firewood on his Florence property, and entertaining. He will be missed by his numerous friends and family.
Survivors include one sister, Eunice (David) Roberts, Garden City, Mich.; four nieces, Judy (Jeff) Porier, Iron Mountain, Mich., Pam (Dan) Tuttle, Maryland, Michelle (Mike) Murphy, Pickney, Mich., and Kim (Marty) Shramm, Redford, Mich.; many other nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by two nephews, Scott and Steve Dyer; two nieces, Diane Dyer and Tiffany Roberts; and one great-nephew, Bobby Porier.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 25, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain, Mich. Funeral services will be Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Chad Harrison will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain, Mich.
