Keith B. Knierim, 59, of Newport, Michigan, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Vibra Hospital of Southeast Michigan-Taylor Campus. He was born February 5, 1957 in Monroe, Michigan to John H. and Antionette L. (Nevalo) Knierim. Keith was married to Cheryl Lynn Williams. Sadly, she preceded him in death in 1998. He worked as an assembler for GM for almost 25 years, retiring in 2012. He loved boating, fishing, hunting, shooting pool, drag racing and traveling. Keith leaves to cherish his memory his son Keith M. Knierim of Newport, Michigan; step-son Todd Lanmann of Wyandotte, Michigan; daughter Kristina M. Knierim of Florida; brothers Howard Knierim of Lincoln Park, Michigan, Tony (Debbie) Knierim of Sarasota, Florida, and Greg Knierim of Newport, Michigan; sister Sandra (John) Wiegand of Newport, Michigan; 5 grandchildren Brandon, Jamie, Keith, Jacob and Payton; his domestic partner of 18 years Donna K. Givens of Newport, Michigan and also his loving pets Gizmo, Sassy and Petey. Keith was preceded in death by his parents John and Antionette Knierim, brother Johnny Knierim and his wife Cherrie Knierim. A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Estral Beach Village Hall, Newport. Memorial contributions may be made to Michigan Humane Society
