Keith Gordon LaFavor "Squeak", 75, of Garden City, MN passed away at home on June 25, 2025 surrounded by family. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00a.m on July 5, 2025 at Northview- North Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Burial to follow at Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, MN. Services will be livestreamed.

Keith was born June 21, 1950 to George and Kathlyn (Carey) LaFavor in Mankato, MN. He graduated from Garden City School, MN in 1968. Keith was united in marriage to Shirley Munger on November 12, 1977 in Fort Belvoir, VA. Keith and Shirley moved to Garden City, MN in 1987 with their children. He worked for the United States Army for 21 years (1969-1990) before retiring. He retired as a U.S. Army Master Sergeant (MSG)- serving two tours in Vietnam 1970-1971 and 1971-1972, one tour in Korea, and three tours in Germany. After retiring from the military, he then worked for the Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial School District as Head Custodian, then as the Coordinator of Buildings & Grounds and Health & Safety from December 1989 - July 2007 before retiring. He also worked for the American Legion Post #294 from 1997-2005, Wellcome Trust and Wellcome Manor.

Keith was strong in his faith. He was a member of the Garden City Christian Church where he served as a Lidergist, Elder, Treasurer, Trustey and a member of the church choir. He was a member and commander of the American Legion Post #294, was the treasurer of the Garden City Alumni Association 1993-2000, and served on the Garden City Town Board from 2007-2018. Keith enjoyed tree work, burning brush, mowing, tinkering in the garage, his garden/pumpkin patch, Cribbage, Pfeffer, rocking in his rocking chair, and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed being on Bowling Leagues, Golf Leagues, and the Church baseball team.

Keith is survived by his wife Shirley, two children; Carrie (John) Sullivan of Vernon Center, MN and Amber (Wade) Schubbe Garden City, MN, two siblings; his sister Patricia (David) Rambo of Alden, MN, his brother Roger (Jennifer) LaFavor of Dothan, AL; 6 grandchildren; Dana Sandmeyer (Adam), John Sullivan Jr. (Skylar), Samual Sullivan, Alexander Sullivan, Riddick Schubbe, and Kiara Schubbe. 5 Great-Grandchildren: Kamina Blair, Jace Weitzel, Kyson Sandmeyer, Kinsley Sandmeyer, Lainey Sullivan; Special Niece: Juli Pagel. Preceded in death by his parents, his sister Margaret Ferguson, brother William LaFavor, sister-in-law Carol LaFavor, and brother-in-law Roy Ferguson.
