Keith Larson Obituary

On December 29, 2025, at 11:00PM at the UMD Baltimore Washington Medical Center at Glen Burnie's hospice suite, a kind, gentle soul was called to join his Lord to live peacefully and pain-free for eternity. Keith battled spinal cancer heroically for more than a year and a half, many months longer than his doctors predicted. That dogged determination and will to live reflected his successes in life. He passed away surrounded by family. Keith was born on March 7, 1966, in Northampton, Massachusetts and followed his parents, Bob and Jane Larson to Maryland where he made his home for the next 59 years, the last 22 in Annapolis Maryland. Keith attended University Park School, Hyattville Junior High and then graduated from DeMatha High School where he played soccer. He then got a scholarship to Yorktowne Business where he attained a certificate in business accounting. He attended adult education classes at the University of Maryland before spending 20 years as the accounting and human resource manager at Professional Records Storage, Inc. in Washington D.C. Keith was an avid tennis player and a 22-year member of the Junior Tennis Champions Center (JTCC) in College Park where he played in matches, clinics, special events, tournaments, and programs. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Mrs. Barbara Larson Burtt (Cleveland, Tennessee), Dr. Robert D. and Mrs. Janet M. Cox (Worcester, Massachusetts) and an uncle Raymond E. Larson (Fort Lauderdale, Florida). His beloved yellow lab "canine children" Sam, Max and Champ will be so happy to be reunited with their adoring and loving dad. Keith leaves behind his mother Jane Cox Larson (Lewes, Delaware), father Robert F. Larson and step-mother Brenda S. Larson (Annapolis, Maryland) and brother Kirk R. Larson (Rehoboth, Delaware). He leaves behind his aunts, Diane Kinsey Pollack of Cleveland, Tennessee; Carol A. Cox of West Brookfield, Massachusetts; Susan Cox Wilson of Chardon, Ohio; Karen J. Cox, of Snug Harbor, Washington; and Lisa A. Barthelson of Worcester. He leaves behind his uncles, William Ashley Burtt of Chiang Mai, Thailand; Robert D. Cox of Worcester, Massachusetts; Richard M. Cox of Gig Harbor, Washington; and Lawrence G. Wilson of Chardon, Ohio. He also leaves behind his cousins, Meghan Kinsey of Cleveland, Tennessee; Marissa Cox Bartoszek of Albany, New York; Jessamyn Cox of Worcester, Massachusetts; Katie Wilson Lee of Virginia; Jonathan M. Cox of Burlington, Vermont; Derek Cox (Hillary) Snug Harbor Washington, Jamie Wilson (Lorrie) Saratoga, California, and Mason D. (Amanda) Cox of Belmont, Massachusetts. All services are private. In lieu of flowers please consider a charitable donation to his legacy youth tennis charity benefiting needs-based players at the Junior Tennis Champions Center c/o JTCC-Keith Robert Larson Scholarship Fund, Attn: Dylan Green, Development Office Associate, 5200 Campus Drive, College Park, Maryland 20740.
