Keith David Ovens, age 70, died, Monday, December 8, 2025, at Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Unit, Dunmore.
Keith was born February 19, 1955, in Scranton. He was the son of the late Irvin Ovens and Paula Smetana Ovens. Keith was a 1973 graduate of Scranton Technical High School and earned an associates degree in business administration from Lackawanna College in 1975.
Keith’s business career was mainly in retail businesses. He formerly was a manager or supervisor for Rite Aid, Dollar General, and Save A Lot supermarkets, where he also was a sales clerk. Keith was a member of St. Peter and Paul’s Russian Orthodox Church, Scranton.
He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan along with Eagles. He enjoyed going to baseball and football games and watching their games at home. One of his favorite hobbies was bowling in several leagues.
Surviving is a sister, Mary Ann Lameo, South Abington Township, and a nephew and care giver Jodi Lameo, South Abington Township.
A celebration of Keith’s life honoring him will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
