Leslie Keith Pipkin of Smithville, TX was called to his eternal rest with his Lord and Savior on December 26, 2025. He was born on May 18, 1957 to H.O. “Sonny” Pipkin and Vinnie Jane Flowers Pipkin in Beaumont, TX; alongside his two brothers James Steven and Hubert Eric.
Keith was a deeply loved and respected husband and father, and spent 30 years serving hospitals in the Austin area as an orthopedic surgical technician. Keith could often be found at the coast fishing, or riding his beloved Harley-Davidson around the hill country. But his greatest joy was creating opportunities to host friends and family for shared meals and cherished memories.
Keith graduated Woodsboro High School in 1975, and married the love of his life of 48 years, Katherine Marie Bobbitt Pipkin in 1977. Together, they built a life they loved and raised four children, Kristen Lynette Pipkin, Leslie Keith Pipkin, Kasey Long Pipkin and Kimberly Glenna-Jane Goertz. They also share 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. However, Keith never defined family by shared kinship, but rather lived life with an accepting heart, and an open door. Connecting with others brought him immense joy, and often new friends that quickly became like family.
Keith is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Hubert Oliver and Mildred Pipkin; and maternal grandparents, Clifford and Irene Flowers; his mother and father, Sonny Pipkin and Vinnie Jane Hahn.
He is survived by his brothers, Steven and Eric; his wife, Kathy; his 4 children, Kristen, Keith (Denise), Kasey, and Kimberly (Nathan); 11 grandchildren, Mackenzie, Heith, Mia, Payton, Brayden, Jax, Reese, Madelynne, Maddox, Felix, and Dalton; and 2 great-grandchildren.
