Perry, GA – Charles Keith Seamon, 66, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at his residence. Services celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 6:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. The visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the services. Reverends Jordan Kersey and Ricky Johnson will be officiating the services. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Mexico Beach Reef Association, mbara.org, in memory of Keith Seamon or Church in the Park in Perry, Georgia.
Keith was born on March 30, 1957, in Thomasville, GA to the late Kenneth George Seamon and Katrina (Sammons) Seamon. He was the co-owner and Associate Broker of Landmark Realty where he worked for nearly thirty-eight years until recently selling the company. Keith continued to work as an agent until his health began to decline. He was a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Club, a Georgia FFA Honorary State Degree recipient, and received countless professional accolades on the state and national levels. Professionally, he was most proud of bringing businesses to middle Georgia, thus expanding employment opportunities for locals. He most treasured the relationships he cultivated and established a reputation for his generosity, honesty, and integrity. He was an integral part of establishing Church In The Park, alongside Jordan and Lindsey Kersey, and not only was a faithful member but continued to be an advisor to Jordan throughout the years.
Keith was affectionately known as Papa Keith, not only by his children, but by nearly everyone. His closest friends chose nicknames that precisely fit his personality, Goofy and Wa, but to his wife, he was known as her soulmate. He was very loving, supportive, and involved in the lives of his children and grandchildren, often being seen at the ballfield, in the audience at a pageant, or at a livestock show. Keith was a natural athlete, who excelled at anything he attempted, which allowed him to pass on the love for sports to his children. He was also known as the resident handy man, often lending a helping hand to those in need. In his spare time, Keith enjoyed fishing, boating, snow skiing, and most of all, spending time with friends and family.
In addition to his father, Keith was preceded in death by his son, Neil Seamon, and his brother, Kevin Seamon.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 48 years, Janet Lynn (Stewart) Seamon of Perry, GA; daughter: Ashley Whiddon (Tony) of Perry, GA; mother: Katrina Seamon of Warner Robins, GA; grandchildren: Alex Seamon of Ketchikan, AK, Hadley and Charley Whiddon both of Perry, GA; sister: Kathy Allen (Joe) of Fort Valley, GA, and his aunt, Janice Tidwell of Oviedo, FL.
With honor, Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
