Keith A. Sills

Keith Arnold Sills was born in East Orange, NJ to the late John Sills and Estelle Cutt Sills on July 21, 1946, transition on Tuesday March 3, 2026.

Mr. Sills was raised in Burlington City, NJ and graduated from Delhaas Senior High School Bristol Township, Pennsylvania where he lettered in football, wrestling, track and field. He was also active in Student Government: Sophomore Class Vice President, Campaign Manager for Senior Class President. He attended Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC at Livingstone he pledged Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, played varsity football, and sang tenor in the college concert choir. He completed three years at Livingstone before being drafted in the US Army where he spent two years during the US -Vietnam War.

In 1973 he returned to Livingstone and graduated with a BA degree in History in 1974. He 1978 he joined the US Army Reserves, he was promoted to Staff Sergeant and fought in the Persian Gulf War (1990-1991) as a truck driver, transporting Abrum Tanks to and from the battle grounds. After fourteen years in the reserves, he retired. He worked at W.G. Hefner Medical Center as a purchasing agent retiring in May 2010.

He is a member of Love Christian Center where he served as Deacon under the Leadership of Dr. Ronald Hash.

He was preceded death by his parents; John Sills, Estelle C. Sills, siblings; Lillian Bell(Herbert), John Sills Jr.(Carol), George Sills, Sr(Paula) and beloved sister-in law Benita Sills.

He is survived by his daughter; Fabia Steele, grandchildren; Zaida Boyd, Xavier DayShawn Boyd, Immanuel Avion Steele, siblings; Tilson Sills( Cathy), Ruth Wright(Sherrell), nieces, nephews, cousins, a host of other relatives and personal friends.
