Robert Sills Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kilpatrick Funeral Home - West Monroe on Feb. 26, 2026.
Robert Irving Sills of Farmerville, Louisiana, passed away unexpectedly on February 21, 2026, at the age of 62.

Born on October 6, 1963, in Leesville, Louisiana, he was the son of Peggy (Calloway) Sills and the late Pleasie Fredrick Sills. To all, he was known as Bob.

Bob is survived by his devoted wife, Candy Phillips; stepson Timothy "Timbo" Taylor (Misty) and grandson TJ Taylor (Jade); mother Peggy Sills; father-in-law Jimmy E Phillips; siblings William "Freddy" (Susan) Sills, Joan (William) Shoults, Janell (Rick) Titschinger, Janice (Michael) Titschinger, Jennifer (Richard) Stanley, Judy (Randy) Boswell; nieces and nephews Geoff Sills, Laura Sills, Rebecca Shoults, Katherine (Marc) Thacker, Amanda (Brian) Roush, Brandon Titschinger, Amy Titschinger, Charles Stanley, Robert Stanley, Eli Sills, Levi Sills, Kaitlyn Bailey, Dillan Sills, and Brady Boswell; brother-in-law Jimmy W Phillips (Alisa), sister-in-law Tammy Lipe (Mike). He was preceded in death by his father, Fredrick Sills, and his brother, Sherwood Alan Sills.

During his teenage years, Bob began a lifelong career in the Construction/Iron Industry, which took him across the United States. Among his coworkers, he was known as "Catsquirrel". He loved the outdoors, finding comfort and happiness under open skies and in nature. Whether hiking in the woods, fishing, hunting wild boar, or relaxing by a campfire beneath the stars with Candy and family, he found peace in outdoor pursuits. Bob also loved his music, playing the electric guitar with his amplifier at full throttle.

Bob will be remembered for his sharp wit and humor-he brought laughter wherever he went. In keeping with his wishes, no service will be held. He hoped others would remember him fondly when spending time outside or walking in nature.
