Keith William Sorrick, 76, of
Mansfield, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. He was born in
Chicago, Illinois, on October 3, 1949, to David and June Sorrick, who preceded him in death, as well as his in-laws, Arne and Teddie Nurmi, and his first love, Jeanne Sorrick. He leaves behind their children, Katie (Mark) Turner, Daniel (Melissa) Sorrick; grandchildren Rebekah and Abigail Turner, and Elliott Sorrick; brother Kenneth (Rachelle) Sorrick; cousin Debbie Spurling; brother-in-law Len Nurmi, and several nieces and nephews (Chezka, Catherine, Chris, Lori and family, Jennifer, Jason, and Todd).
He is survived by his loving wife, Laura Bryan Sorrick; their bonus family; child Stephen (Brittany) Redmond; grandchildren Peyton, Zoey, Piper, and Zadie Redmond; and a multitude of dear friends who are part of his family in Christ.
Keith was a loving husband, father, and good friend to all he met. Keith never met a stranger, nor did he pass up an opportunity to share the love of Jesus with everyone around him. Keith knew the importance of people in God's eyes and in his own.
His family was second only to his faith, and he loved all of us with his whole heart. He dedicated countless hours to supporting his children and grandchildren at many different events. He taught classes for all age groups at Trinity Lutheran, Loganville United Methodist, and now at Mansfield Methodist Church, and was a constant volunteer whenever needed. He was active in the North Georgia and Pathways East Walk to Emmaus communities serving in virtually every role at one time or another.
Keith could be heard cheering for the Cubs, the Bears, and Ole Miss (whether losing or winning). He lived the mantra, "work hard, play hard," and was always on the go. He loved music in all of its forms and attended a multitude of musical events for his family and professional performances. He especially loved singing with his grandchildren and to the Lord.
A Celebration of Keith's Life will be held at Mansfield Methodist Church located at 3031 N. Main Street
Mansfield, GA. 30055, on Saturday, January 17th at 3:00 with a visitation preceding the service at 2:00.
