Keith’s life began on September 20, 1960, in Herington. He was the son of Herbert K. and Erline Eva (Albrecht) Vahsholtz. Keith was a 1978 graduate of Chapman High School. He also attended Beloit Vo-tech for diesel mechanic training. Keith was a farmer and mechanic. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church (Shady Brook) where he was a lifelong member.
Keith was married to Joni Kline Adkins on April 23, 1994, at Immanuel Lutheran and they divorced. Joni passed away in 2016. Keith enjoyed being a farmer, “wrenching” on his equipment and his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children John F. (Ashley) Vahsholtz of Chapman, and Jessica (Chris) Glendenning of Abilene; grandchildren Trenton and Nolan Haslouer and Cooper and Madisyn Vahsholtz; sibling Russell (Julie) Vahsholtz, Nancy (Kent) Rawson, Vonley Vahsholtz, and Kelli Vahsholtz-Olson; aunts Carol Florea and Pearl Vahsholtz and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Keith passed away Monday May 27, 2024, at Salina Regional Health Center. He is preceded in death by his parents. His family will gather with friends on Friday May 31, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. at Yazel Megli Funeral Home, Herington. Keith’s funeral service will be held on Saturday June 1, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Shady Brook.
