Bill and Laura Steidl
December 20, 2024
It's been nine months since Keith's passing, but old habits are hard to break. Bill and Laura Steidl still think we should make an extra dozen hickory nut cookies for Keith every time we bake them.
But we realize that Keith has met Jesus face to face. He walks and talks with Him in Heaven on a regular basis. We know this because Keith had a kind and loving heart here on earth and a soul that he devoted to God. We feel blessed that Keith was our friend.

In loving memory of a wonderful person from Bill and Laura Steidl. We will love you and miss you always. Keith was the kind of guy you wish there were more of -- a hardworking, soft-spoken and kindhearted sort of guy that makes you feel blessed just to know.
Bill feels fortunate that Keith was the person who trained him at Banta´s. Keith was good at doing lithography work and was a very patient and thorough instructor. Bill has a huge array of great memories of when they worked together. It´s accurate to say that Keith made it fun for Bill to go to work.
We will always remember the big smile Keith had for us when we delivered the freshly baked hickory nut cookies we made for him on his birthday every year. He really liked them and we´ll never make hickory nut cookies again without thinking of Keith and wishing we could share some with him.
The Canada Geese that nest on our property always reminds us of Keith. We gave him our pair of African Geese when he lived on the Wolf River, which he promptly renamed, `Bonnie and Clyde´. He enjoyed watching them and it always made us happy to hear Keith tell us `Bonnie and Clyde´ stories.
