Kelli S. Davis

1976 - 2026

Kelli Skovira Davis, of Washington Township, died unexpectedly Monday, March 2, 2026. She was born in Greensburg on Jan. 28, 1976, and had been a resident of Washington Township since 2013. Kelli grew up in Scottdale and previously lived in Wilkins Township. as well as Philadelphia, Lansing, MI, and Pittsburgh. Kelli had a passion for learning and was highly educated. She held a B.S. from the University of Pittsburgh in biology, a B.S.N. from Michigan State, and an M.S.N. from Pitt and was pursuing a post-master's certificate in legal nurse consulting from Louisiana State University. She worked as a registered nurse and was also an expert in the clinical research field, particularly cancer research. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her daughter, Catie, whom she loved fiercely; playing the piano; and traveling. Her favorite places to visit were New York City, Ohiopyle, and Cape May, NJ, where she had many special family trips. Kelli also traveled the world as a participant in the Semester at Sea program when she attended Pitt, visiting such places as Brazil, Kenya, India, and China. She loved spending time with friends and was known for her humor and warm, loyal, and welcoming spirit. Additionally, Kelli was passionate about her health and enjoyed many types of exercise. She was an avid runner and completed the Pittsburgh Marathon on two separate occasions. Kelli was also a member of Mount St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington. She is survived by her father, James P. Skovira Jr. (Laura Abel) of Scottdale; mother, Diane C. (William) McDonough of Sarver; husband of 15 years, Robert M. Davis; daughter, Catherine "Catie" Davis; sister, Kari Skovira (Steven Talak) of Aliquippa; brothers-in-law, Philip (Angela) Davis and Joseph Davis; and nieces and nephews, Meghan (Nate) Parker, Philip Davis Jr., and Josie Talak. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, March 8, 2026, at THE RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder St., where Prayers of Transfer will be said at 9:15 a.m., Monday, March 9, 2026, followed by Christian Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Mount St. Peter Church.
