Send FlowersLIMA -- Kelli A. Singhaus, 59, passed away peacefully at her residence on October 3, 2025 at 9:35 a.m.
She was born on April 26, 1966, in Lima, Ohio to Dave and Joyce (Wehner) McCluer, who preceded her in death. On May 12, 1990 she married her best friend David G. Singhaus, who survives in Lima.
Kelli graduated from Bath High School in 1984, and studied at The Ohio State University. Her career with Allen County Government extended beyond 30 years of service. Over that time she held every position in the Board of Commissioners Office. Most recently, she was in the leadership position of their Office Administrator and Finance Director. Her dedication and professionalism earned her the respect of her peers through Allen County and the State of Ohio.
Kelli was deeply loved by her family and friends and was even sometimes referred to as "Mamakel". She was the best wife, mother, Maw-Maw/MawMo, friend, a loving dog mom to her sweet Isabelle and the rock of her family. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting smell of home-cooked meals. Growing up, her kids' friends knew her house as the place to be whether it was for a hot dinner or to raid her well-stocked snack cupboard. At family gatherings, she was known for her famous mac and cheese, and it was a favorite among everyone. Kelli had a smile that could light up a room and a laugh that was completely contagious, one of those laughs that made everyone around her feel lighter and happier. Her joy was genuine, and her presence brought comfort and happiness to those lucky enough to know her.
She was endlessly devoted to her children and grandchildren, never missing a dance recital, basketball, soccer, and softball game, cheering from the sidelines with pride and love. She had a deep love for the beach and treasured family vacations to Anna Maria Island, where she would soak up the sun, make beautiful memories, and somehow always end up being the best fisherman in the family. Kelli also cherished time at the family's lake house on Little Long Lakein Michigan, where laughter was guaranteed especially during a game of cornhole, which she jokingly claimed to be the best at (though everyone knew otherwise). She was a passionate fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Golden State Warriors, especially her favorite player, Stephen Curry.
Kelli's warmth, joyful spirit, and unwavering love shaped every life she touched. Her legacy lives on in the memories shared, the traditions she started, and the deep love she poured into her family every single day. She is survived by her husband David G. Singhaus of Lima; her three daughters: Kaitlin Singhaus of Lima, Lauren (Blake Stevens) Singhaus of Bluffton; and Lindsay Singhaus of Lima. Five grandchildren: Brielle, Kasen, Oakley, Ryan, and another grandchild on the way. Her sister Emili McCluer of Englewood, OH; her brother Matthew "Matt" (Amy) McCluer of Lima, and nieces and nephews: Collin, Carson, Carlie, Alexa and Abigail.

We were greatly shocked and saddened to hear of Kelli's passing. The Singhaus family lake cottage is next to our home on Little Long Lake. Dave and Kelli have been great neighbors for all of our 35 years on the lake. Kelli always had a smile on her face and was always pleasant to visit with. She will be missed. Our thoughts go out to Dave, the girls, and all our the Singhaus family.

I am so deeply saddened to hear of the loss of your wife, mother, sister and grandmother and my friend. I will always remember Kelli's infectious laugh during our meetings and how she always knew how to lighten the mood.

I´m so grateful to have just gotten to catchup with Kelli as she called a couple weeks ago. Her beautiful voice was always enlightening and her laughter delightful. She was so happy and proud of her family and encouraged me as a mother. Our years together as soccer moms were such a blessing and I will always cherish all the love she gave.
