It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kelly Marie Cousino, a vibrant and loving soul, who left us on October 5, 2025, at the age of 39. Kelly was kind beyond measure - the brightest light in every room, with a heart full of love and a smile that could warm anyone she met. A strong woman of faith, Kelly's deep belief in Jesus guided her words, actions, and love for others.
Born on November 23, 1985, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and raised in the nurturing environment of her family, Kelly's passion for life was evident to everyone who knew her. Kelly graduated from Indian Hill High School in 2004 and later earned her Bachelor's Degree at James Madison University, paving her way to a life filled with passion and purpose.
An entrepreneur at heart, she founded "Knotty Girl," a headband company that reflected her creative spirit and entrepreneurial drive. But her heart extended far beyond her professional endeavors. Kelly's dedication to education shone brightly during her early years, teaching preschool and kindergarten at Corryville Catholic Schools, and later in life, as a substitute teacher in the Dublin School System where her 3 children attended.
For the last twelve years, Kelly called Dublin, Ohio, her home, where she cultivated a tight-knit community that adored her. She found immense joy in her roles as wife and mother, sharing twelve beautiful years of marriage with her husband, Cole Cousino. Together, they created a loving home filled with laughter and joy alongside their three children, Kennedy, Caleb, and Collette "CoCo." Kelly was the heart of her family, a nurturing presence who celebrated every milestone with unmatched enthusiasm. Everything she did was for her family.
A lover of fitness, Kelly enjoyed strength training with her "Friendship Fitness" family, always inspiring her friends and family to join her in an active lifestyle. Her friendships were rich, filled with laughter and mutual support, and she was loved dearly by her aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.
Kelly is survived by her beloved husband, Cole Cousino; her children, Kennedy, Caleb, and CoCo; her mother Kathleen Bartish; her step-father David Bartish; siblings, Michelle (Derek) Conliffe and Daniel (Meredith) Johnson; as well as her loving in-laws, Brad and Tami Cousino.
A private funeral service will be held Saturday morning October 18th in Newtown, Ohio. The public Celebration of Life will be held in Kelly's honor on October 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM at 50 West Brewing, where friends, family, and loved ones will gather to share stories, laughter, and love in remembrance of a remarkable woman who touched so many lives.
Kelly Marie Cousino leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and a profound belief in the power of family, and a deep devotion to her faith. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
Kelly was preceded in death by her father Jonnie Johnson
