Kelly Ann Dunlavy French, 64, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born February 9, 1961, in Providence, Rhode Island, Kelly was the beloved daughter of Terry and Janet Dunlavy. She grew up in New England, cherished by her large extended family, before moving with her parents to Hot Springs, Arkansas, during her high school years when her father began his long career as a thoroughbred trainer.
Kelly graduated from Lake Hamilton High School and went on to earn her bachelor's degree in Interior Design from the University of Arkansas. She had a natural eye for beauty and creativity that extended into every aspect of her life from her work to her home and the love she poured into her family.
Kelly's faith was the cornerstone of her life. A devoted member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, she lived her beliefs with quiet strength, grace, and compassion. Her love for the Lord guided her in every season - in her kindness toward others, her unwavering hope, and the way she gave selflessly to family and friends.
Her greatest passions were her family, her children, and traveling with her husband and loved ones. Kelly was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She cherished the arts, valued meaningful friendships, and had a deep compassion for all animals - always offering her heart and help to those in need.
She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Danny Shawn French; her son Connor (Ruth) French; her daughter Elena French; her parents Terry and Janet Dunlavy; her brother Dr.Kevin (Dr. Polly) Dunlavy; and her adored nieces and nephews Tristan, Kate, Ethan, and Isla Dunlavy.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hot Springs, officiated by Father Ravi Gudipalli and Father George Sanders.
A reception and Celebration of Life will follow in the parish hall. All who knew and loved Kelly are warmly invited to attend and share in remembering her beautiful life.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Garland County, honoring Kelly's lifelong love and protection of animals.
