Kelly Gewirtz Obituary
Kelly a.k.a Boomba was born January 16, 1961, in Saginaw to the late Donald and Linda Gewirtz-Gower. He was a resident of the Chesaning area most of his life. He was a 1979 graduate of Chesaning Union Schools. Kelly was united in marriage to Felicia Krugielki on November 2, 1979. Mr. Gewirtz was employed at Merrill Tool for 30 years. He was a member of The Chesaning Conservation Club. The thing Kelly enjoyed the most was being a Grandpa to Jayce a.k.a little Boomba. Kelly also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, playing basketball, boating, cooking, spending time with his family and friends, and spending time at the hut.
He is survived by: wife, Felicia; daughters: Angela Gewirtz of Saginaw, Ashley (Rey his favorite son-in-law) Cruz of Birch Run, Stephanie Gewirtz of Saginaw; 1 grandson, Jayce Cruz a.k.a little Boomba; step-father, Larry Gower of Chesaning; siblings: Lisa Conklin of Chesaning, Lori (Darren) Mort of Chapin, Scott (Kay) Gewirtz of Chesaning, Tammy (Mike) Yates of Crystal, Andy (Linda) Gewirtz of Dewitt, Jeff (Kelly) Gower of Lansing, Mike Gower of Owosso, and Matt (Jen) Gower of Grand Rapids; great uncle John, many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Rick Conklin.
A memorial visitation will be held at the Misiuk Funeral Home on Sunday, July 16, 2023, from 12 noon until 3p.m. with a service at 3 p.m., Fr. Peter Vu officiating. Contributions in his memory may be made to his family or to the Chesaning Conservation Club. You may light a memorial candle or share a memory at misiukfuneralhome.com.
