Kelly W. Gilliam, 94, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm and Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 9:00 to 10:00 am at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, Mississippi. Funeral Services are 10:00 am on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the Ott and Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, Mississippi, with burial to follow in Lakeland Place Memorial Park in Brandon, Mississippi.
Mr. Gilliam was born on July 2, 1931, in Macedonia, Mississippi. He retired after 41 years of service as a Civil Engineer for the Mississippi Department of Transportation. Mr. Gilliam enjoyed going to church where he taught children's Sunday school and later senior adults, and his appreciation for music led him to sing in the church choir. He also loved crafting and woodworking and traveling the United States with his wife.
Mr. Gilliam is survived by one son, Rocky Gilliam (Kimberly). He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Gilliam; two brothers, William Gilliam and Clay Gilliam; and one sister, Geraldine Manning.
