Kelly Griffin, 61, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025. Kelly was the wife of Wayne Griffin.
Kelly was born in Rome, New York, to the late Charlie and Elsie Marsh. Kelly is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Wayne A Griffin, and four children: Chase R. Griffin (Kathryn, Austin Reilly), Harrison R. Griffin (Lauren), Farrell R. Griffin, and Dylan E. Griffin (Caroline, Dylan Hudson).
Kelly, as her family says, "broke the mold"- she was a tough cookie with the biggest heart. Whether it was working on yachts, saving sinking ships with a can of asparagus (yes, she really did), working in her gardens, raising children, or homemaking, she always found a way to put others first. Kelly was the definition of selfless, fiercely loving, and a mama bear. She would give the shirt off her back to anyone who needed it. She loved animals and could never say no to a stray. Kelly had a quick wit and could make any room laugh. She was an extremely sentimental person, holding memories in everything she touched.
She grew up working with and showing horses and took great pride in her own, Dorian. She later went on to be a chief stewardess on multiple mega yachts, where she met Wayne. Together, they made an incredible team as they traveled the world. They worked and lived in South Florida before retiring to Anderson, SC. As a lover of the arts, Kelly enjoyed live music, antiquing, and DIY projects.
She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, nana, and friend. She lived for her family, and her greatest joy was her children.
