Kelly Ryan

Kelly Hentges Ryan peacefully entered eternal rest on Wednesday January 7th, 2026, at her home in Albertville, MN, at the age of 65.

Kelly was born in Minneapolis, MN, and spent the majority of her childhood and young adulthood in Golden Valley, MN. She graduated from Benilde-St. Margaret's and went on to complete field work to earn her certification as a Medical Assistant. In her most recent role, she proudly led a team in the bariatric clinic at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC), where she celebrated 25 years of dedicated service.

To have known Kelly was truly a privilege. She touched every life she encountered, bringing light, kindness and joy to each and every day. Born with a heart to nurture, Kelly devoted her life to caring for others. She lovingly raised two children, cared for countless older adults to ensure they received the highest quality of life, and consistently placed the needs of others above her own. With her selfless spirit and unwavering compassion, caring for others was not just her work – it was her mission and her purpose. Her dedication to her patients at HCMC reflected the very best of who she was and the impact she made will never be forgotten.

Kelly is survived by her beloved husband Mark Ryan of 30 years; her children, Melissa (Lamont) Browne and Nicholas (Kaitlyn) Ryan; her sister, Jean Hentges; her brother, Mark Hentges (Lisa Walker); her cherished grandchildren Sydney, Peyton, and Jordyn; and her mother-in-law, Rita Ryan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Ronald Hentges and her father-in-law, Jerome Ryan.

To honor Kelly's life, a funeral service will be held at Peterson Chapel on Saturday, January 24th, 2026 at 11:00am with a reception to follow – 300 Main Street N Saint Michael, MN 55376. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Kelly's memory with a donation to an organization of your choice, that reflected her lifelong commitment to caring for others.
